The main metronome display showcases the number of beats per bar in the center circle, with beat intervals displayed in the outer circle. The beat and interval segments count in sync with the click, offering a unique and intuitive representation of musical measures and time signatures. This feature is particularly valuable for those working with complex time signatures or new to musical concepts. Adjusting the tempo (bpm) of the metronome playback is easily done from the main display. Furthermore, users can select the number of beats-per-bar and intervals-per-beat in the Settings section. Designing the click sequence is also a breeze, allowing users to choose which beats and subdivisions are audible and muted. Additionally, users can opt to audibly accent the first beat of each bar or simplify the setup by switching off interval sound and display altogether.

When customizing your Atomic experience, you can head straight to the Colors tab to set a personal color scheme for the display. The app also provides various ways to adjust the sound to suit your preferences and practice scenarios.

The Sounds tab allows users to fine-tune several sonic aspects of the beat and beat division click sounds. For instance, you can select the musical pitch of the main click and beat division notes independently, ranging from A5 (frequency = 880 Hz) to A6 (1760 Hz). This feature accommodates different musical genres and practice room noise levels. The tonality of the beat or beat division click can be adjusted from a dull thud to a more musical sound with harmonic overtones. Users can also extend or shorten the click duration according to their preference. The relative volumes of the beat and beat division clicks can be easily adjusted as well. The overall volume of the app is controlled by the device's normal volume buttons.

Atomic also offers advanced tools to aid in the development of musical timing. In the Tools section, users can select the Timing Advance mode, which allows them to set the metronome's tempo to increase or decrease after a specified number of bars complete. The Silent Click mode is another valuable tool, enabling users to silence the click for a certain number of beats, ensuring precise timing even when the click is inaudible. By combining these features with the selected time signature, users can master advanced timing control. Additionally, Atomic provides a Tap Tempo feature, allowing users to tap out beats and have Atomic calculate the indicated tempo.
